Terms and Conditions
1. Code of Conduct:
Protein Rebel Ltd is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants, volunteers, staff, and spectators. By taking part in the Protein Rebel Running Festival, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
• Expected Behaviour:
o Be considerate and respectful to all participants, staff, volunteers, and spectators.
o Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour and speech.
o Be mindful of surroundings and fellow participants. If you witness or are involved in a dangerous situation or see someone in distress, alert a marshall immediately.
• Unacceptable Behaviour:
o Harassment or Abuse: Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct toward any participant, staff, volunteer, or spectator.
o This includes but is not limited to:
Offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability.
Inappropriate use of nudity or sexual imagery.
Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
Harassing photography or recording.
Sustained disruption of event proceedings.
Inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention.
o Inappropriate Attire: Wearing clothing unsuitable for a sporting event, including provocative or potentially offensive attire.
o Physical or Verbal Aggression: Physical, written, verbal, or other abuse, intimidation, threats, harassment, stalking, pushing, shoving, or any physical force that creates a disturbance or causes danger or anxiety to others.
o Weapons: Possession of any item that could be used as a weapon and may pose a danger to others.
o Offensive Behaviour: Boisterous, lewd, or offensive behaviour or language, including profanity, obscene gestures, or racial, religious, gender, or ethnic slurs.
o Illegal Substances: Possession or use of any illegal substance. Protein Rebel Ltd strictly prohibits illegal substances at the event.
o Disturbing the Peace: Assembling for the purpose of disrupting the event, committing unlawful acts, or engaging in offensive behaviour.
o Non-Compliance: Failure to follow event rules or venue regulations as instructed by the Race Director or event officials.
• Consequences of Unacceptable Behaviour:
o Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
o Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately. Protein Rebel Ltd may take any action deemed appropriate in response to unacceptable behaviour, including but not limited to temporary or permanent suspension from current or future events.
• Reporting Unacceptable Behaviour:
o If you experience or witness unacceptable behaviour or have concerns during an event:
Notify a Protein Rebel staff member or marshall immediately.
All reports will be handled discreetly and confidentially.
Protein Rebel Event staff are available to help contact venue security or local law enforcement if necessary and will provide support to ensure your safety throughout the event.

2. Enhanced Liability and Risk Acknowledgement:
“Runners and spectators attend, participate, and spectate at their own risk entirely. Participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of endurance events, including but not limited to physical strain, injury, dehydration, or even death. Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit and adequately trained for the event. Protein Rebel Ltd accepts no liability for any injury, illness, loss, or damage to personal property before, during, or after the event. This includes but is not limited to injuries resulting from weather-related conditions (wind, ice, snow, rain, extreme heat), course hazards (uneven terrain, potholes, wildlife), or the actions of other participants. Participants must make their own judgment about whether conditions are safe. By participating, they accept full responsibility for any risks.”
3. Force Majeure Clause:
“Protein Rebel Ltd is not liable for event disruption caused by factors beyond its control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, acts of terrorism, government restrictions, or health emergencies (e.g., pandemics). In the event of a Force Majeure Event, Protein Rebel Ltd shall not be liable for any refund, loss (including indirect or consequential loss), damage or expense.”
4. Detailed Refund and Transfer Policy:
“Entry fees are not refundable. We can change the route, distance and date of the event if we need to for safety reasons, we also can put the event into a virtual event in extreme cases.
Contact 2nd July 2025 if you cannot attend, you may:
• Transfer your entry to another person.
5. Age Restrictions:
“Minimum age requirements:
• 10K: 16 years old
• Fun run: All ages can participate although adults/guardians allow their children to paricipate at their own risk.”
6. Data Protection and Privacy Policy (General Guidance):
“Protein Rebel Ltd will share data with service providers to the extent necessary to provide event services, such as timing and results. Your name will be included in the list of runners, shown on race results, and available for athlete tracking. These items will be published on our own website and/or on partners’ websites. Your Christian name may be printed on your race number. We take data protection seriously, and will never sell your data to third parties.”
7. Clarifying Rescheduling Procedures:
“The race organisers reserve the right to delay or suspend a race due to emergency or extraordinary conditions. In the event of a cancellation we will attempt to reschedule the event. If a participant is unable to attend the rescheduled event, then no refund will be issued.”
8. Waiver of Class Action Lawsuits Clause.
“Participants waive the right to participate in any class action lawsuit. Any legal claim must be resolved individually.”
9. Equipment Use Disclaimer.
“Participants must ensure any personal equipment used is safe. Protein Rebel Ltd accepts no responsibility for injuries from faulty or unsuitable gear.”
10. First Aid.
“A qualified first aid team will be present at the event. Participants should ensure they have completed the medical details on the back of their race number. If feeling unwell during the event, please make yourself known to a marshall or first aider.
1. Fundamentals
1.1 Protein Rebel Running Festival is operated by Protein Rebel Ltd.
1.2 By attending the Protein Rebel Running Festival you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part, please do not enter.
1.3 If you are unsure about any aspect, please contact us at hello@proteinrebel.com for clarification.
1.4 Your attention is particularly drawn to clauses on Entry Transferability, Event Cancellation, and Liability.
1.5 Protein Rebel Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting updates online.
1.6 Spectators/family and friends:
Ticket holders agree that any family and friends supporting them are bound by these Terms and Conditions. It is the responsibility of the individual making the booking to ensure that their attending family and friends have read and understood these terms.
1.7 If you enter on the day of an event, you are agreeing to our full terms and conditions.
1.8 When registering for an event all participants are agreeing to abide by our Code of Conduct.
2. Entry and Participation
2.1 Entry to Protein Rebel Running Festival requires agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.
2.2 By entering, participants agree to receive event-related communications. Contact information will only be shared with the organisations directly involved in running the event.
2.3 Protein Rebel Ltd reserves the right to amend or cancel events without prior notice, including changes to race time, date, distance, venue, fees, or prizes.
2.4 In case of cancellation due to events beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, pandemics), we will attempt to reschedule.
2.5 Participants who choose not to race after an event is rescheduled will not be entitled to a refund.
3. Refund and Transfer Policy
3.1 Protein Rebel Ltd operates a no refunds policy.
3.2 If you cannot attend and notify us by 2nd July, you may:
Transfer your entry to another person.
4. Age Restrictions
4.1 Minimum age requirements:
10K: 16 years old
4.2 Adults or guardians entering minors into the fun run do so at their own risk.
5. Liability and Risk Acknowledgement
5.1 Participants who enter Protein Rebel Running Festival run at their own risk.
5.2 Protein Rebel accepts no liability for any injury, illness, loss, or damage to personal property before, during, or after the event.
5.3 It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure they are fit and healthy enough to participate. Protein Rebel is not liable for injuries caused by pre-existing conditions.
5.4 Protein Rebel will not be liable for injuries resulting from weather-related conditions, including but not limited to:
Wind, ice, snow, or rain
Falling infrastructure due to strong winds
Slips, trips, or falls caused by wet or icy surfaces
Overheating due to high temperatures or extreme heat conditions
Participants must make their own judgment about whether conditions are safe. By participating, they accept full responsibility for any weather-related injuries.
5.5 If a participant deems conditions unsafe, they don’t have to start the event.
5.6 Protein Rebel Ltd accepts no liability for injuries resulting from:
Trips or falls on matting, wires, potholes, or loose equipment
Actions of other participants or members of the public
Hazards in outdoor and uncontrolled environments, including but not limited to uneven terrain, potholes, wildlife, and other natural hazards.
5.7 Protein Rebel Ltd will not be held liable for any injuries resulting from a participant’s lack of vigilance, including but not limited to trips, slips, or falls caused by failure to observe obstacles, uneven terrain, or other course hazards. Participants are fully responsible for navigating the event safely.
5.8 Protein Rebel Ltd accepts no liability for:
Business losses (loss of profit, business interruption, or business opportunity)
Indirect or consequential losses (travel or accommodation costs)
5.9 Participants must secure their personal belongings. Protein Rebel Ltd is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of items.
5.10 Assumption of Inherent Risks:
Participants accept the inherent risks of endurance events, including but not limited to physical strain, injury, dehydration, or even death.
5.11 Personal Insurance Responsibility:
Participants must arrange their own insurance for personal injury or property damage. Protein Rebel Ltd does not provide coverage.
5.12 Event Modifications:
Protein Rebel Ltd reserves the right to alter the event course, distance, timing, or format. No refunds will be issued for such changes.
5.14 Equipment Use Disclaimer:
Participants must ensure any personal equipment used is safe. Protein Rebel Ltd accepts no responsibility for injuries from faulty or unsuitable gear.
5.16 No Responsibility for Third Parties:
Protein Rebel Ltd is not liable for the actions of third-party vendors, volunteers, contractors, or sponsors.
5.17 Waiver of Class Action Lawsuits:
Participants waive the right to participate in any class action lawsuit. Any legal claim must be resolved individually.
5.18 Force Majeure:
Protein Rebel Ltd is not liable for event disruption caused by factors beyond its control, including but not limited to:
Severe weather
Natural disasters
Acts of terrorism
Government restrictions
Health emergencies (e.g., pandemics)
5.19 Protein Rebel Ltd shall not be liable for any refund, loss (including indirect or consequential loss), damage or expense caused by a Force Majeure Event.
6. Photography and Media Consent
6.1 Participants consent to being photographed or filmed during the event. Protein Rebel Ltd may use images for promotional purposes.
7. Governing Law
7.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
7.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
