Reload reaches final in UK’s toughest health food awards

The Nourish Awards – The UK’s toughest health food awards – has named its 2020 finalists and our Protein Rebel Reload (Banana) has reached the final in two separate categories. After being blind tasted by an expert panel of nutritionists, health and food industry experts, our cricket-based post-workout powder has made it to the finals in both the ‘High Protein and Sports Nutrition’ category and the ‘Best Ethical’ category.
It’s been a long journey to get our protein powders smooth and tasty, especially our Reload powder which includes the rather novel ingredient – crickets. The very nature of crickets is that they are hydrophobic (repel water) so developing a method to allow them to mix well with water has proven quite the challenge. We’re confident that Reload now tastes great and has a silky smooth texture. The fact that it has made it to the final of the Nourish Awards following some tough blind tasting, is proof that Reload is up there with the best protein powders.
As well as being good for the body, our protein powders are also kind to the planet and so we’re delighted that this has been recognised by The Nourish Award judges. Our ‘planet first’ approach is in everything we do, from the ingredients we use through to our partnership with World Land Trust.
We’ll know whether we’ve won a Nourish Award on 18th September 2020 during a virtual awards ceremony. In the meantime, there’s a Nourish People’s Choice Award which allows the general public to vote for their health food champions. If you like our protein powders and our ethical focus then please do vote for us. We may be starting out as a small business but we like to think we’re the David amongst the Goliaths. Help us to shake up the sports nutrition market!
